特斯拉开启“全球降价”
Tesla has lowered prices on its electric cars in most markets around the world, as it looks to increase sales and market share.
The company said on Sunday that it had reduced the base price of its Model 3 sedan by $2,000 in North America, Europe and China. In some markets, such as Hong Kong and Singapore, Tesla has cut prices by more than 10%.
The move comes after Tesla reported a surprise profit in the third quarter of 2019 its first since going public in 2010 thanks largely to higher vehicle deliveries.
Tesla is hoping that lower prices will help drive further growth. The company’s CEO Elon Musk said last month that he expected global demand to be “staggering” this year. “We are confident people can afford our products with reasonable financing terms," he added.
