“围炉煮茶”已致多地多人中毒
Since the traditional tea-making process "weilu zhu cha" involves boiling tea with a coal stove, it has caused many cases of poisoning in different areas. This is because some of the components present in coal such as arsenic and mercury can be released into the tea during this process and be ingested by people when they drink it. To prevent further poisonings, health experts recommend to use electric stoves or other clean fuel sources for making tea.
